Ranking Starbucks Holiday Drinks

Last time I was able to (hopefully) convince all of you to try Starbucks fall drinks- and this time I am back to convince you to try their Holiday menu. I have tried all of these festive flavors and have ranked them from worst to best. I hope this list gives you inspiration for your next trip to Starbucks, and maybe you will like the top choice as much as I do!

Starting at the bottom of our list we have the Gingerbread latte. This drink, as well as every drink on the list, can be ordered iced or hot. Although gingerbread is a classic holiday flavor, I found that Starbucks gingerbread syrup does not pair well with the flavor of coffee. The combination of the overly sweet syrup and the flavor of espresso creates a chemical-like flavor that does not make for an enjoyable drink.

In fourth place we have the Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai. This drink combines oat milk, chai tea, and gingerbread syrup into a festive holiday treat. While the gingerbread flavoring is still less than favorable, the oat milk and chai combine with it well to create a spicy and festive flavor, putting it a little above the standard gingerbread latte.

In third place, we have the caramel brulee latte. I definitely recommend this to all caramel lovers out there. It has a sweet taste resembling caramelized sugar. However, at times I find that this drink can be too sweet, placing it in the halfway ranking on my list.

In second place, we have the sugar cookie latte. This drink is one of my favorites, and I am enjoying one as I type this! This drink truly tastes like its name. It’s a sugar cookie in liquid form. I am usually one to prefer iced drinks, but I definitely recommend getting a hot sugar cookie latte on a cold winter day. This festive treat is perfect for the holiday season and will warm you right up.

In first place, we have the peppermint mocha. This drink is nostalgia in a cup, with the perfect mix of chocolate and peppermint. The best part of this drink is that you can get it all year round, putting it at the top of the list! The peppermint mocha is the perfect pick me up for a winter morning, with both the espresso and the peppermint present to awaken your senses. If you are going to try any holiday drink, let it be this one. It’s a fun and festive treat you will not regret!
