Hello, my name is Alexis Oldfield. I am a senior at Siena college, majoring in Sociology with a triple minor in Educational Studies, Psychology, and Writing and Communication. Outside of being an editor and staff writer for The Promethean’s Academic & Social News category, I also participate in Siena’s club field hockey program. Additionally, I enjoy working with Siena’s School of Liberal Arts office as a social media intern. Being a part of The Promethean’s staff since my first semester at Siena has proven to be beyond rewarding. This experience has allowed me to explore both of my passions: journalism and higher education. I am very grateful that I have the opportunity to do what I love and to share Siena’s story with our campus community.

Hey, I’m Maddie! I am going into my third year at Siena. My major is English with a minor in Journalism. I have loved writing for the Promethean and am excited to now be an editor. I’ve always been very dedicated, focused, and hardworking when it comes to my studies (a special thanks to the copious amount of coffee I consume). When I’m not busy with school or work, I enjoy spending time with my animals, going for sunset walks with my girlfriend, and exploring places I have yet to see; whether it be a busy city or a scenic countryside. I’ve always thought it important to live life with an open mind and an open heart- with an unbiased perception of the things and people around me.

Politics Editor

Hello, my name is Sean Buff.  I am a sophomore and finance major here at Siena College.  My role for the Promethean is the Politics Editor.  Politics has always been something that I follow constantly, thus am very knowledgeable on current events.  On campus, I am involved with Turning Point USA and serve on various boards, including the Student Conduct Review Board and the Commuter Student Association.  In my free time, I enjoy golfing, spending time outdoors, and following current events.  In the future, I plan on pursuing an MBA and becoming a financial adviser.

Sports Editor

I am Julianna Sebastian and I am the sports section editor! I have lived in Buffalo, NY my whole life, and hoping to return there after college. I am an English Major with minors in broadcasting and Spanish. I am also a member of Siena College’s Division 1 swim team. I enjoy all types of sports, from basketball, football, to more unique olympic sports. I love everything sports talk, and would hopefully like to work as a sportscaster someday for a TV affiliate. My favorite teams are of course the Buffalo Bills and also the L.A. Dodgers because once I met Clayton Kershaw at a hotel I was staying at in Phoenix, Arizona, so now naturally we are best friends. Other than sports, you can usually find me in the MAC swimming with my team or working out. Also, I am in the library a lot writing papers. I love practicing yoga, listening to music, and spending time with my friends. If you have story ideas for my section, email me at jm25seba@siena.edu!
